CHRISTMAS _THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR!!

Once again it is the Christmas season, the most wonderful time of the year. It is the time when we celebrate our precious Saviour’s Birth as streets, homes and shops are lit up with the most beautiful lights, reflecting the Yahushua, the True LIGHT of the world!!

The 25th of December and the weeks leading up to it when there are great activities and preparations to celebrate the occasion, is a most wonderful time of the year. However, it is certainly not the time of year when our loving Yahushua Ha Mashiach was born into this world. The winter festivities began as a pagan festival and later the Christians adopted it to honour their blessed Saviour’s Birth. It is for this reason why some Christian denominations refuse to celebrate the Christmas Season.

A few of those who are followers of Yahushua may refuse to celebrate this blessed season; however, the greater majority of His followers in many countries ensure that His Birth is well and truly celebrated. Carols, Christmas plays and concerts, as well as other celebrations tell anew the wonderful story of His Birth, as they invent ways of depicting His first Advent into this world. Thus year after year the Birth of Yahushua into this world is kept alive.

In some schools there are Christmas programmes when the Scriptures pertaining to Yahushua’s Birth are read. At such times children are dressed as Mary and Joseph and other characters act out the story anew. There is usually a manger scene with a doll in a cradle which represents Yahushua. There are angels and shepherds and wise men all playing their parts, while others form the choir and sing out many of the beautiful carols. Parents at such times are proud of their children as they act their part in the Christmas Play.

Although Christmas came into being because of pagan festivities, I am thankful for Christmas. Failing that, the Birth of our loving Saviour would go unnoticed while men and their gods are honoured. In some countries Christmas is not recognised and is passed over as just another ordinary day. It is good that we have a time each year to remember the Birth of Yahushua into this world. Christmas tells anew each year the story of the Birth of Yahushua, our Saviour, and the reason He came to this world. The carols composed under the inspiration of the Ruach Ha Kodesh tell the stories in their own unique way as we celebrate and honour His first Advent.

In these once Christians lands, music rings out to celebrate the “Winter Holidays”, as the season is being termed by many who reject the Christ of Christmas and do not want anything to do with Him. During the season an odd carol may be heard among the music being played in the various stores and supermarkets as shoppers stock up for the Christmas, to ensure that there is plenty to eat and drink and to be merry! In some countries the carols and anything to do with Yahushua, the Saviour of the world, are being removed from the schools and public places.

Many deny that the season is about YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH the Saviour of the world. Instead they look at it as the time to be with friends and loved ones and to enjoy the festive season. However, in spite of how it is regarded, it is still the Christmas season! It is the season which is all about Yahushua Ha Mashiach and His great love for the human race. Yes! It is about YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH, the King of Heaven, our Creator and Elohim. Without the Birth, Death and Resurrection of Yahushua and His Ascension to Heaven, this world would most likely have been destroyed like the world of Noah’s day, due to the great evils and wickednesses and man’s inhumanity to man. Yahushua came into this world and brought great changes and dignity to the human race.

It is because of Yahushua's coming to thus world and what He has done for us why there are schools and other institutions of learning. It is because of Him why there are hospitals and other such institutions. It is because of Him why this world is not destroyed by wars, crimes, murders and man-made and natural disasters! It is because of Yahushua why the status of women in many lands are uplifted instead of being regarded as mere properties who are at the mercy of men! Yahushua’s coming into this world brought hope for the entire human race. This includes those who are in the prisons and those who are suffering from various illnesses and diseases. Through His grace and mercy, all can be saved and delivered from their bondages, including financial bondages.

The Birth of Yahushua into this world is also a constant witness and reminder that He came to this world and that He alone IS THE SAVIOUR OF THE WORLD, the Elohim of LOVE and Mercy. It is only through Him that any of us can come to Yahweh, our heavenly Father, because He is the ONLY WAY, the ONLY LIGHT and the ONLY TRUTH (John 14:6) and the ONLY ONE in whom we have SALVATION AND CAN BE SAVED (John 3: 14-17; Acts 4:12).

The Christmas period which is enjoyed by many in this world is a constant WITNESS that Yahushua came into this world and taht He is the Saviour of the world. Thus it will be used in the Judgment as a witness against those who will make excuses that they did not know that Yahushua is the Saviour of the world. However, that will not be an excuse because it is a constant memorial of His Birth into this world, the time when it is happily enjoyed by so many.

YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON!! AND HE WILL ALWAYS BE THE REASON FOR THE SEASON!!

This is a fact of history, both Biblical and world history! Men and nations may deny Him, ridicule Him and deride Him. They may do their utmost to trample His Name in the dirt and do everything in their power to eradicate His Name from society. It matters not what they do, He is still the KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS!!

In the very near future Christmas as we know it, will be no more. This is because Yahushua Ha Mashiach shall return as He has promised in His Word, including John 14: 1-3. However, He will not come as a helpless Babe in Bethlehem’s manger but as KING OF KINGS AND LORDS OF LORDS for His children in this world who are waiting and longing for His Return. At that time ONLY THOSE WHO HAVE ACCEPTED HIM AS THEIR SAVIOUR WILL GO BACK TO GLORY WITH HIM (1 Thessalonians 4: 16,17, Revelation 20: 4-6).

Those, however, who have rejected His love and grace for them will perish at His return (1 Peter 3: 10). A thousand years later Yahushua will return to this world and resurrect all the dead. He will then convene the final Judgment when those who are in that judgment around the great "white throne" will receive their just reward in the Lake of fire and brimstone, along with Satan and his demonic host (Revelation 20: 5, 6, 10-14).

After King Yahushua, the great Judge has meted out judgment to those who have rejected Him and dealt with Satan and his demonic host, He will then cleanse this earth with molten fire and create the new heavens and the new earth which He has promised. There King Yahushua, will live and dwell with all those who accepted Him as their personal Saviour from sin (Malachi 4: 1-3; Revelation 21: 1-5). Each day in the new earth will be a great Christmas celebration as King Yahushua, the true Light, will be with them throughout those ceaseless ages of eternity.

I am awaiting and looking forward for the imminent return of my blessed Saviour, Yahushua, when by His grace I will go home with Him with Him to His throne in Glory. I will not be on my own for all those who have accepted Him as their Saviour will also go with Him to Heaven. There in Heaven with the saints and angels, I will spend a great and wonderful vacation of one thousands years with Him (Revelation 20:4). At the end of that period, King Yahushua will bring us back to this world and create the new earth, where we shall be with our precious Saviour forever.

Friends, this is my hope to go home and be with Yahushua when He returns for I have committed my life to Him and HE IS MY SAVIOUR! This is what Christmas is all about and that is the reason He willingly gave up His throne in Glory and came to this earth and suffered and died on our behalf. YAHUSHUA WILL RETURN TO THIS WORLD for His children!! However, He will not return as a helpless Babe in Bethlehem’s manger but as King of Kings and Lord of Lords!!

FRIENDS WHAT ABOUT YOU? HAVE YOU MADE YOU PEACE WITH HIM?? ARE YOU READY TO MEET KING YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH AT RETURN AND TO GO WITH HIM TO GLORY TO SPEND THE REST OF ETERNITY WITH HIM SO THAT YOU CAN ENJOY ETERNAL CHRISTMAS’???

If you have accepted Yahushua as your personal Saviour, CONGRATULATIONS!! May His divine peace and blessings remain with you and may you grow each day in His grace as the Ruach Ha Kodesh leads guides and directs you. On the other hand, if you have not made it right with your Saviour and accepted His sacrifice for you, Please think seriously about the consequences of your failure to do so. Just think about these questions:

· What if you should die this day, Where would you go? Where would you spend the rest of eternity??

· What if Yahushua returns today, Would you be ready to meet Him? If not, Where will you go and What will become of your precious soul??

If you are unable to give positive replies to these questions and would like to make your peace with Yahushua and invite Him to be your Saviour, please repeat this prayer:

SINNER’S PRAYER

Yahushua, I believe You are the Son of Yahweh (God) and that you left Your throne in Heaven 2000 years ago and came here to this world. I believe You suffered, shed Your blood and died on the Cross of shame for me, paid the price for my sin and redeemed me from the curse of sin and eternal torment in Hell and the lake of fire and brimstone.

I believe Yahweh, the Father, raised You from the dead after three days in the grave. I believe you returned to Heaven, your throne and that soon You are coming back to this world for Your children.

Yahushua, I confess that I am a sinner in need of Your saving grace. I am sorry for the sins I have committed. Please forgive me. Today, I accept You as my personal Saviour from sin. Please come into my life, cleanse me from all my sins and be the Adonai (Lord) of my life. In Your precious Name, Yahushua, I declare that I am born again and have passed from death to eternal life. Please and baptise and fill me with the Ruach Ha Kodesh (the Holy Spirit) and please use me for Your service.

Gracious Yahweh, my Father, I pray this prayer in Yahushua’s Name Amen.

THE MASS OF CHRIST_ CHRISTMAS!!

Once again it is the Christmas Season bringing goodwill to all.

And throughout many lands songs of the Christ Child ring out

Reminding the world that Yahushua came as a Babe in Bethlehem

Two thousands years long past as the Saviour of the world;

Though there was no room for him in the very world He created,

He gladly shared the lowly stable with the animals lying still

As He laid in His cradle of hay on that night so long ago.

Yes, there was no room in any of the hotels and motels

In Bethlehem on the night that Yahushua Mashiach was born,

Though others found room with luxuries in abundance;

There was no room for the King of kings except a hostile stable!

Thank Yahweh for the lowly stable where He found room

So that we can celebrate His lowly Birth_ the Mass of Christ!

The Ruach Ha Kodesh and angels were in attendance at the Royal Birth,

While Gabriel announced it to the shepherds keeping watch in the fields,

As the angelic choir sang their welcome songs to them that night;

And throughout all Heaven the glad tidings rang out with rejoicing

That the Saviour of the world, Yahushua, was born.

For though small helpless He had come to deliver mankind from sin.

Two thousands years have come and gone but the songs of

Glad tidings ring out over land and sea from shore to shore,

Telling as the story of the Birth of the Holy Child, Yahweh's Son,

Who left His royal throne and took upon Himself flesh and blood;

So that that He could ransom lost sinners, you and me

In exchange for His beautiful, pure and holy life!

And now at this happy Christmas time, the time of Good will

When lights of every hue and design are shining for all to see;

And as shoppers spend lavishly for gifts, foods and drinks,

And enjoy parties and feasts set aside for this precious season;

I want to say thank YOU Yahushua for making all this possible,

Because You came and gave us Christmas, blessed Christmas!

Christmas is a wonderful time of year whether its Summer or Winter,

As loved ones gather and enjoy the carols, fellowship and festivities.

But all too soon the happy days are o’er and life continues as before,

Until Christmas comes again reminding us of our dear Saviour’s Birth.

Yahushua, we long for Your return when You will take us to Glory

Followed by the new Earth where the joys of Christmas shall never cease.

EVIDENCE THAT THE RUACH HA KODESH IS IN THE LIFE OF A PERSON!!

THE RUACH HA KODESH IS ELOHIM:

The Ruach Ha Kodesh is Elohim, the Third Person in the Godhead. His role in the Godhead is very important, just as the roles of Yahweh, our Father and Yahushua, our beloved Saviour. The Ruach Ha Kodesh, like Yahweh and Yahushua Ha Mashiach is eternal, self existent, omnipotent, omniscient, omnipotent and immutable. He works always with Yahweh and Yahushua in all things which included the creation of this world and the redemption of mankind. Concerning His part in Creation we read:

“In the beginning God [Elohim] created the heaven and the earth. 2And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of [Yahweh] God moved upon the face of the waters”. Genesis 1:1,2 (KJV).

ROLE OF THE RUACH HA KODESH IN THE PLAN OF REDEMPTION

Before this world was created and before man came into being, the role the Ruach Ha Kodesh would play in his redemption, was already in place. Likewise the roles of Yahweh, the First Person of the Godhead and Yahweh the Second Person of the Godhead (who took the Name: Yahushua) would play, were also in place. Thus when man sinned, it was only a matter of time before the Ruach Ha Kodesh would plant the Holy Seed in the womb of a virgin; whereby the pure and holy Creator, Yahweh, would to be born in human flesh so that mankind could be redeemed.

Four thousand years later the Ruach Ha Kodesh performed the role which He took on before the foundation of the world and planted the Holy Seed into the virgin’s womb; whereby Yahushua, our Saviour, was born into this sinful world.

Before the Ruach Ha Kodesh performed His pre-assigned role, the angel Gabriel was sent from Heaven to the virgin Mary, the young lady chosen to bring the Saviour into the world. When the angel Gabriel appeared to her and told her that she was chosen to bring the Saviour into the world, she was surprised because she was engaged to be married. She knew that to be found with child before marriage would be the death sentence for her. Therefore, she enquired from the angel about the possibility of such a thing happening when she was not married. The following is the account of what took place:

30And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with [Elohim] God. 31And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name [YAHUSHUA] JESUS. 32He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the [Adonai Elohim] Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: 33And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end”. Luke 1:30-33. (KJV).

“4Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? 35And the angel answered and said unto her, The [Ruach Ha Kodesh] Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of [Yahweh] God. Luke 1:34-35 (KJV)..

Soon after the angel, Gabriel, appeared to Mary, the Ruach Ha Kodesh planted the Holy Seed in her womb and she became pregnant. Mary had been engaged to be married, therefore Yahweh sent an angel to Joseph and told him in a dream:

20 … Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the [Ruach Ha Kodesh] Holy Ghost. 21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name [YAHUSHUA] JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins”.

Matthew 1:20,21 (KJV)..

THE RUACH HA KODESH BEING WITH YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH

The Ruach Ha Kodesh watched over the Virgin during her pregnancy and ensured that the Christ Child was delivered safely in this world. He remained with Him through Infancy and Childhood and filled Him with His own spirit as we read in Luke 2:40:

And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of [Elohim Ha Kodesh] ] God was upon him”.

At the age of thirty years when Yahushua began His earthly Ministry which would lead to His death on the cross for the sins of the world and man’s redemption; the Ruach Ha Kodesh lighted upon Him in the form of a dove soon as He was baptised and came up out of the water. Concerning this we read in Matthew 3:16:

“ And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of Yahweh] descending a dove, and lighting upon him”.(KJV).

Following Yahushua’s baptism, the Ruach Ha Kodesh went with Him in the wilderness where He had gone to fast and pray and commune with His Father, Yahweh, and to be empowered by the Ruach Ha Kodesh. He deemed it important to be spiritually strengthened before He actually began His Ministry because of the awesome work which was ahead of Him, as well as the constant battles which Satan and his demons and human helpers would wage against Him.

Concerning Yahushua’s going into the wilderness, we read in Luke 4: 1:

“And [Yahushua] Jesus being full of the [Ruach Ha Kodesh] Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the [Ruach Ha Kodesh] Spirit into the wilderness. . .” (KJV).

Yahushua spent forty days in the wilderness communing with His Father, Yahweh and with the Ruach Ha Kodesh. At the end of that long time of fasting, Satan went and tempted Him but he did not succeed because Yahushua knew him in spite of the disguises he used (Matthew 4: 1-11).

After those forty days in the wilderness, Yahushua returned to Galilee to begin His Ministry but He did not go alone because we are told:

“And [Yahushua] Jesus returned in the power of the [Ruach Ha Kodesh] Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about”. Luke 4: 14 .

THE RUACH HA KODESH ANOINTED AND EMPOWERED YAHUSHUA

When Yahushua came from Heaven, He completely laid side all His power as Elohim and became fully man. In order to do the work He came to do, He had to depend fully upon the Ruach Ha Kodesh. Yahushua adhered to His Father’s commandments, one of which was to worship Him on His holy Sabbath day. While He was in the synagogue one sabbath day, the Book of Isaiah was given to Him and He read the portion of Scriptures for that Sabbath. The reading was a prophecy concerning Himself in Isaiah 61: 1,2. He read:

18 The Spirit of [Yahweh] the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 to preach the acceptable year of the Lord [Adonai]”. Luke 4: 18, 19 (KJV)..

Yahushua, our Saviour, was fully dependent upon the Ruach Ha Kodesh to do the great miracles and other mighty works which He did while He was upon the earth. He willingly gave credit to the Ruach Ha Kodesh for His anointing in His life, without which He would have been powerless. Yahushua confirmed the anointing and the works He did through the power of the Ruach Ha Kodesh in the preceding Scripture Passage, Luke 4: 18,19.

YAHUSHUA TOLD THE DISCIPLES ABOUT THE RUACH HA KODESH AND THE IMPORTANCE OF HIS BAPTISM

Before Yahushua went to the Cross, He told His disciples that He would be leaving this world and returning to His Father in Heaven. However, He told them that He would ask His Father, Yahweh, to send them the Ruach Ha Kodesh to be with them always. He also told them the importance of the Ruach Ha Kodesh being with them and the reason it was important. Concerning this Yahushua told them:

16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17 even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you”. John 14: 16, 17 (KJV).

“ But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you”. John 14: 26 (KJV).

7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. 8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 of sin, because they believe not on me; 10 of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; 11 of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged. John 16: 7-10 (KJV).

12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. 13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. John 16: 12-14 (KJV).

In these Scripture Passages, Yahushua told about the work the Ruach Ha Kodesh would do when He was sent by Yahweh to be with His children. Yahushua also told them how important it was for them to be baptised with the Ruach Ha Kodesh. When Yahushua went to the Jordan River to be baptised by John the Baptist, John told the people:

“I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire”. Matthew 3: 11(KJV).

Shortly before Yahushua’s death, He was at the great Feast in Jerusalem. At that time cried out and said:

“If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. 38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. 39 (But this spake he of the [Ruach Ha Kodesh] Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the [Ruach Ha Kodesh] Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that [Yahushua] Jesus was not yet glorified.)” John 7: 37-39 (KJV).

YAHUSHUA’S INSTRUCTIONS TO WAIT FOR THE RUACH HA KODESH!!

Yahushua is the Elohim Who promised to ask Yahweh, His Father, to send the Ruach Ha Kodesh to His children. He is also the Elohim Who baptises His followers with the Ruach Ha Kodesh and with fire (i.e. the fire of the Ruach Ha Kodesh). After His resurrection from the dead and just before His ascension to Heaven, Yahushua breathed on His disciples told them to receive the Ruach Ha Kodesh, as we read in John 20: 21, 22.

“He spoke to them again and said, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you. 22 Then he breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit”. (KJV).

Yahushua also told His disciples:

“ . . . but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. 5For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. Acts 1:4,5 (KJV).

“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth”. Acts 1:8 (KJV)

After Yahushua’s Ascension, the disciples obeyed His instructions and waited in Jerusalem in an upper room for the coming of the Ruach Ha Kodesh and to be baptised with Him. There were about one hundred and Twenty of Yahushua’s followers who were gathered in that upper room (Acts 1:15). They fasted and prayed and made everything right with one another and with their Elohim during the time they waited. On the Day of Pentecost, ten days after Yahushua returned to Heaven, Elohim Yahweh sent the Ruach Ha Kodesh to this world, as we read in we read in Act 2: 1-4:

And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 3And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. 4“And they were all filled with the [Ruach Ha Kodesh] Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance”. Acts 2: 1-4 (KJV).

THE REASON THE RUACH HA KODESH WAS SENT TO THIS WORLD:

The Ruach Ha Kodesh was sent to this world to be our Elohim so that we would not be alone and without an Elohim at all times. Yahushua told the disciples of the importance of the Ruach Ha Kodesh being with His children. Regarding some of the roles the Ruach Ha Kodesh would play in this world, Yahushua said:

And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you”. John 14: 16,17 (KJV).

“But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: 27 And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning”. John 15:26, 27 (KJV).

“Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth [the Ruach Ha Kodesh], is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. 15 All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you”. John 16: 13-16 (KJV).

Here we see some of the roles the Ruach Ha Kodesh would play in the lives of those who would accept Yahushua as their Saviour up to the time of His return.

THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING BAPTISED WITH THE RUACH HA KODESH!!

Yahushua had told His disciples that they were to wait in Jerusalem until they were baptised with the Ruach Ha Kodesh (Acts 1: 5). This baptism with the Ruach Ha Kodesh which Yahushua would do Himself, was to give His disciples POWER. That divine power which is given only by the Ruach Ha Kodesh was to enable them to do the works He, Yahushua, did while in this world. Thus He told them:

“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth”. Acts 1:8 (KJV).

Yahushua also told them:

12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. 13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it”. John 14: 12-14.

The instructions Yahushua gave was not limited to His disciples alone. They were for all those who would accept Him and become His followers right up to His return to this world. Therefore, those who believe and obey His Word should be empowered to do the works He did including healing the sick, casting out demons and raising the dead. In order to this these works, however, it is necessary to be baptised with the Ruach Ha Kodesh.

The Ruach Ha Kodesh is important in the life of each person who accepts Yahushua as their Saviour. Each person should see the need of the Ruach Ha Kodesh to be in their lives and earnestly pray to Yahweh, the Father, in Yahushua’s Name and personally ask Him for the Ruach Ha Kodesh. Concerning this request we are told:

“If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?” Luke 11:12 (KJV).

Yahweh, our Father, is the Elohim Who gives us the Ruach Ha Kodesh, and Yahushua Ha Mashiach is the Elohim Who baptises us with the Ruach Ha Kodesh and with His fire (Matthew 3:11).

Baptism with the Ruach Ha Kodesh is to receive His POWER so that we can be true witnesses of Yahushua who will do the works He commanded us to do in His Name. Among those commands, Yahushua said:

  • 18 . . . All power is given unto me [Yahushua Ha Mashiach] in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father [Yahweh], and of the Son [Yahushua Ha Mashiach], and of the Holy Ghost [the Ruach Ha Kodesh]: 20 teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen”. Matthew 28: 18-20 (KJV)..

  • “And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. 8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give”. Matthew 10: 7,8 (KJV).

  • “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. 17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name [Yahushua Ha Mashiach] shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover” . Mark 16: 15-18 (KJV).

Being baptised with the Ruach Ha Kodesh is important to be effective workers of Yahushua. It is not a like the baptism by immersion which declares to the world ones intension to renounce the world and follow Yahushua as Saviour; as well as to fulfil the righteousness which Yahushua spoke about (Matthew 3: 15). Instead, baptism with the Ruach Ha Kodesh is to give POWER to do the works Yahushua did while He was in this world and which He has committed to His followers. Therefore, if the followers of Yahushua are not prepared to obey Him and do His work, baptism with the Ruach Ha Kodesh will be of no avail.

The baptism with the Ruach Ha Kodesh is for every follower of Yahushua who are prepared to do His work. Therefore, all who need His baptism to do the work of Yahushua will receive it.

Although the baptism with the Ruach Ha Kodesh is done by Yahushua, those who are His ministers should pray and ask Him to baptise all new converts with the Ruach Ha Kodesh so that He will begin to help, empower and use them to bring glory to their Elohim. A church where the members are baptised with the Ruach Ha Kodesh and where He is given freedom to operate will always be a living, dynamic and vibrant church, where His power will be manifested through signs, wonders and miracles.

THE FRUIT OF THE RUACH HA KODESH

As followers of Yahushua, it is important that we have the “fruit of the Spirit” , or the “fruit” of the Ruach Ha Kodesh in our lives. That fruit is LOVE and its eight other segments. It is described as:

“…love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. Galatians 5: 22,23 (NLT).

HOW TO KNOW THE RUACH HA KODESH IS OPERATING IN THE LIVES OF THE FOLLOWERS OF YAHUSHUA!!

The evidence that the Ruach Ha Kodesh is in our lives is by the fruit we bear. Concerning this Yahushua states in Matthew 7: 16-20:

16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them” (KJV).

The evidence that the Ruach Ha Kodesh is in our lives is seen by the fruit we bear. That fruit is the “fruit of the Spirit” or the fruit of the Ruach Ha Kodesh which is:

“…love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. Galatians 5: 22,23 (NLT).

When these virtues are naturally seen our lives whether in our joys or in our sorrows; whether we are happy or sad, or whether things are going well or bad for us id evidence that the Ruach Ha Kodesh is in control in our lives. Thus in spite of what we may be experiencing, the love of Yahushua and the spirit of Yahushua will be seen in our lives through our love and forgiveness. Likewise, there will be joy and peace shining forth from within our spiritual being and great patience which cannot be surpassed.

When the Ruach Ha Kodesh is in our lives, we will be kind and generous even to those who hate us and despitefully use us. We will never repay evil for evil but through the goodness given to us by the Ruach Ha Kodesh, we will “heap coals of fire on their heads” and repay them with good deeds. The virtue of faith will also be evident in our lives because we will trust our Elohim even in our darkest hour when things are at their worst and we cannot see an end in sight. Our faith will cause us to trust Him, even if it means we must forfeit all for Him, including our very lives.

Gentleness and self-control are also virtues which be evident in our lives when the Ruach Ha Kodesh dwells with us. Thus instead of being aggressive, rude and vindictive when others hurt us, we will choose to be gentle and to suffer long. Likewise, we will also choose to be subject to Yahushua, our Saviour, and to bring our wills, emotions, passions and desires Under the His will as day by day we emulate His life.

In addition, to these virtues: “love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control”; we will be honest, truthful and upright in our daily lives. We will also endeavour to emulate Yahushua in all things, whereby our Elohim will be honoured and exalted.

In addition to the “fruit of the Spirit” and other virtues which we receive from the Ruach Ha Kodesh, is our care and compassion for others who are not as blessed as we are. Yahushua has spelled out the reward for those who show love, kindness and compassion to His children in this world. They will be rewarded on the Day of Judgment. Concerning reward, Yahushua said:

31 When the Son of man [Yahushua Ha Mashiach] shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: 32 and before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: 33 and he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left”.

34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 for I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: 36 naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me”.

37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, [Adonai] Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? 38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? 39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? 40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me”.

Matthew 25: 31-40 (KJV)

As followers of Yahushua may we love and care for our fellowmen and be among those who will hear His words of commendation on the Day of Judgment, when by His grace we will take our place in the earth made new, where along with those for whom we laboured, we shall be with Him forever.

Sadly, on that Day of Judgment Yahushua Ha Mashiach will say to those who rejected Him and failed to do good to His children:

41 . . . Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: 42 for I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: 43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not”.

44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, [Adonai] Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?”

45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me”.

46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal”.

Matthew 25: 41-46 (KJV)

By Yahushua’s grace and with the help of the Ruach Ha Kodesh, let us endeavour to good to our fellowmen so that we will not have to suffer the fate of those who are condemned because of their lack of love, kindness and compassion to their fellowmen.

The virtues of “…love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control” and other virtues which we are to possess, can only can only be effective in our lives through the divine power of the Ruach Ha Kodesh. Therefore, it is important that we see our need and dependence upon Him for His help. It is for this reason James admonishes us:

13 Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom. 14 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. 15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. 16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work”.

17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. 18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace”. James 3: 13-18: (KJV.)

In addition, Paul warns us against the works of the flesh which are deadly and should have no place in the life of the true follower of Yahushua. These works of the flesh are described thus:

19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of [Elohim] God”. Galatians 5: 29-21 (KJV).

We are also told in Revelation 22: 14 ,15:

14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. 15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie” (KJV).

In Galatians 5: 24-26, Paul continued with his admonitions to help us in our daily walk with Yahushua. He says:

24 And they that are [Mashiach’s] Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another” (KJV).

James sums up the kind of persons we should be. He says:

“Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world”. James 1:27 (KJV).

By Yahushua’s grace let us surrender our entire lives and wills to Him and with the help of the Ruach Ha Kodesh, our Helper, let us crucify the carnal nature with its affections and lusts so that there will be no place in our lives for them, or fertile ground for Satan to operate in our lives. It is only when we are fully surrendered to Yahushua Ha Mashiach of Nazareth and the Ruach Ha Kodesh is operating in our lives will it be evident that the Ruach Ha Kodesh is in our lives. This will be seen by His “fruit” which we will bear and the works of Yahushua which we will do through Him.

THE GIFTS OF THE RUACH HA KODESH.

As followers of Yahushua Ha Mashiach, it is also important to have the gifts of the Ruach Ha Kodesh. These gifts, however, are given by the Ruach Ha Kodesh and are given as He sees best. No one can forcefully take these gifts or decides which gifts he/she wants. The gifts the Ruach Ha Kodesh gives, are decided by Him and given to those whom He chooses. He distributes His gifts according to the abilities of those to whom they are given Therefore, He gives to some of Yahushua’s followers more than He gives to others. Thus some have many gifts, while to others He gives a few or even just one.

Concerning the distribution of the gifts, it is written in 1 Corinthians 12: 11:

“but all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will” 1Corinthans 12: 8-11 (KJV).

We are told in 1 Corinthians 12: 31:

“covet earnestly the best gifts”.

This means we should desire the gifts best suited for us but at the same time we are to allow the Ruach Ha Kodesh in His wisdom to give us the gift or gifts which are best suited for us. Once we are given the gifts as well as any of the other gifts given by Yahushua, or Yahweh our Father (1 Corinthians 12: 5,6; Ephesians 4: 8, 11-13) it is important that we use them to bless others, as we are told in Corinthians 12: 7:

“ A spiritual gift is given to each of us as a means of helping the entire church” (NLT).

Likewise, we are told in Ephesians 4: 7- 16:

7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of [Mashiach] Christ. 8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men. 9 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? 10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)”

11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of [Mashiach] Christ: 13 till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of [Elohim] God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of [Mashiach] Christ: 14 that we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; 15 but speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even [Mashiach] Christ: 16 from whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love”.

The gifts given by the Ruach Ha Kodesh are these:

“ 8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

9 to another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

10 to another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues;

to another the interpretation of tongues”. 1 Corinthians 12: 8-10.

In 1 Corinthians 4: 11, we are told how the gifts are distributed. There it is written:

“It is the one and only [Ruach Ha Kodesh] Holy Spirit who distributes these gifts. He alone decides which gift each person should have”. 1 Corinthians 4: 11 (NLT)

As followers of Yahushua, we are a part of His body, His church here on earth. Therefore, as members of His body, we are one and there is no discrimination, regarding nationality, race or creed because we have been baptised into His body by the Ruach Ha Kodesh. Each member in the body is given the gift or gifts as the Ruach Ha Kodesh deems necessary. Regarding this, Paul wrote:

“For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is [Mashiach] Christ. 13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit”.

1 Corinthians 12: 12,13.

THE NINE GIFTS OF THE RUACH HA KODESH!!

Concerning these nine gifts given by the Ruach Ha Kodesh, Paul in his writings admonishes us to "... desire spiritual gifts." 1 Corinthians 14:1.

These nine gifts are very important in the body of Yahushua, His church, here upon earth. The following are the gifts and How they should be manifested when they are in operation among His followers:

THE WORD OF WISDOM: This special gift is the ability to receive the right instructions or information from the Ruach Ha Kodesh to enable the minister, ministering in the things of Elohim to know what to say or do at the right time, so as to edify others in Yahushua’s body. The Ruach Ha Kodesh also activates this gift if the minister is faced with unusual circumstances beyond his or her depth.

THE WORD OF KNOWLEDGE: With this gift one receives supernatural revelations from the Ruach Ha Kodesh. This gift enables those who are thus blessed to see scenes or situations (while being fully awake) in the lives of individuals, etc., anywhere in the world. The information revealed would be totally impossible to be known otherwise, except for the Ruach Ha Kodesh revealing it.

An example of the Word of Knowledge is: The one with the gift is shown the precise details about something or someone in any part of the world.

THE GIFT OF FAITH: This gift is the ability to believe without any doubt that all things are possible and that nothing is impossible with our Elohim, the Elohim of Heaven and Earth. In Hebrew 11 it is described thus:

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen". Hebrews 11:1. (KJV).

THE GIFT OF HEALING: The one who has this gift prays to Yahweh, the Father, in the Name, Yahushua, and then the Ruach Ha Kodesh performs the healing. Thus all manner of sicknesses and diseases, including the casting out of demons from those held captives by Satan are performed miraculously by Yahushua with whose stripes we have been healed (Isaiah 53:5).

THE WORKINGS OF MIRACLES: With this gift, supernatural things are done by the Ruach Ha Kodesh through the ones who are given the gift of miracles.

THE GIFT OF PROPHECY: Through this gift the prophet speaks forth a message from our Elohim, to edify, exhort and encourage others the in the body of Yahushua, His church; or to whom He will send messages of rebuke or exhortation. Likewise, the Ruach Ha Kodesh also speaks through the prophet revealing, instructing, guiding and showing things to come, including future events (John 14:26; John 16:13-15).

THE DISCERNING OF SPIRITS: This gift is to discern the presence of devils and demons and to identify their possession and operations in the lives of people.

THE GIFT OF DIVERS KINDS OF TONGUES: This is the ability to speak in other languages without prior knowledge, or without understanding what is being said.

It is also to pray in the “spirit” and in the “Holy Ghost”. It is likened to speaking “mysteries” (1 Corinthians 14: 2-4; 14,15). This is the “unknown tongue” or the heavenly language which is known only to Elohim and which Satan does not have access to.

This gift of “unknown tongue” or “new tongues” (Mark 16:17) is the only gift which edifies or is beneficial to the one who speaks it. This gift is given after a person is baptised with the Ruach Ha Kodesh and is an instantaneous gift. Not everyone however, receives this gift of “new tongues” but it is one of the gifts that the believer should earnestly “covet” (1 Corinthians 12 31) because it is the prayer language of Heaven.

This gift "living waters" which flows out of the "Belly" (John 7: 38, 39) is directly from the Ruach Ha Kodesh. It is not one’s mother tongue or a tongue that is learnt. It is the heavenly language which comes gushing from the "belly", from where the Ruach Ha Kodesh speaks. Through this gift there is communication between the Ruach Ha Kodesh and the one who speaks it, i.e. through the gift of unknown tongue there is a two way communication. By it the person who prays in the spirit, prays to Yahweh and likewise, Elohim also speaks to the person.

The Ruach Ha Kodesh also speaks directly through the person who speaks it and blesses them, or uses them to bless and give messages, instructions, information or answers to others. The following is an example:

A person prays for a guidance on a certain matter. He then goes to a prayer meeting, or prays with another person. During the prayer session, the one with the gift of unknown tongue begins to pray in the heavenly language. The person who prayed for guidance then gets the answer he/she needed in his or her own mother tongue while the person is praying in the spirit. In spite of this, the person who is praying in the spirit has no knowledge about the answer which the other person receives because while praying he/she has no understanding of what is being said in the heavenly prayer language.

The person who receives the answer during the prayer, receives it because the Ruach Ha Kodesh speaks through the voice of the person who is praying in tongues and thus gives the answer which was being sought.

It is also through gift of praying in the “spirit” that spiritual warfare is fought because Satan is unable to interpret the gift of new tongues. This, therefore, throws his kingdom into disarray as holy angels from the army of Heaven are sent to fight his demonic host and dispel them.

It is the spirit of man which prays when one prays in the heavenly prayer language. This is because it is only the spirit in man which truly knows what is in man and knows what is going on in the spirit realm. Thus as the spirit prays, the Ruach Ha Kodesh intervenes, intercedes and does whatever is necessary at the time. This includes dispatching angels from the armies of Heaven to fight battles with the kingdom of darkness, wherever and whenever it is necessary to do so.

Speaking in unknown tongue is just one of the gifts given by the Ruach Ha Kodesh but it is a gift for which we should pray. In my case, I wanted the gift of speaking in new tongues and I made it my duty to pray and ask for it. Then one morning (many years ago) as I was praying, out of my belly gushed this beautiful prayer language. Since I was blessed with the heavenly prayer language, I can pray and sing in it at anytime because the gift is ever present with me. I give praise and thanks to our Elohim for it. If you have not received this coveted gift and would like to receive it, take time to pray and ask Yahweh, our Father, for the precious gift. By His grace He will give it to you as He gave it to me.

(THE GIFT OF UNKNOWN TONGUES SHOULD NOT BE USED TO JUDGE OTHERS)

The gift of tongues, the heavenly prayer language, is a very important gift which should not be ridiculed, belittled or referred to as gibberish or nonsense. Although the gift of speaking in new tongues is important and many are blessed with the gift; it should not be used to judge others. Therefore, if one does not speak pray in “unknown” or “new tongues”, it does not mean that those who are not given the gift, are not baptised with the Ruach Ha Kodesh, or that He does not operate in their lives. Likewise, it is not an indicator that the Ruach Ha Kodesh does not operate in the churches or ministries of ministers who are not given the gift of “new tongues”.

It must always be remembered that speaking with “new tongues” is only one of the nine gifts which the Ruach Ha Kodesh gives to those in the body of Yahushua. Likewise, the gift of speaking in tongues is not an indicator or guarantee that those who speak it will be saved in Yahweh's kingdom of Glory. Neither does it exempt anyone from Yahweh's kingdom if they do not speak in new tongues.

THE INTERPRETATION OF TONGUES: This is divine inspiration from the Ruach Ha Kodesh to interpret a message or language spoken in an unknown language. The person with this gift has the divine ability to interpret the languages of men, including the interpretation of the unknown tongues, the Heavenly language.

THE DESIRE OF EVERY TRUE FOLLOWER OF YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH!!

The desire of every true hearted follower of Yahushua should be to be baptised by Yahushua Ha Mashiach with the Ruach Ha Kodesh and to have His “fruit” in our lives. Once the baptism of Ruach Ha Kodesh takes place, we will be empowered by Him and given His gifts whereby He will manifest His power and work through us to bless our fellow men. He will also enable us to play our part in fulfilling the great Commission (Matthew 28: 19,20), whereby the gospel of salvation will be preached in all the world so that Yahushua’s return to this world will be hastened.

As followers and servants of Yahushua, let us emulate His righteous life so that under the anointing of the Ruach Ha Kodesh, He will operate in our lives as He did in the life of Yahushua Ha Mashiach; so that it can also be said of us, as it was said of our blessed Saviour, Yahushua:

“how [Yahweh] God anointed [Yahushua] Jesus of Nazareth with the [Ruach Ha Kodesh] Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for [Elohim] God was with him”.

May this indeed be our experience as day by day we endeavour to bring glory, honour and praise to our Elohim and hasten the return of Yahushua, our precious Saviour, Adonai and King.
